Facts about Dogs 9
A dog has various ways of wagging
their tails to indicate it's mood. A high, brisk, circular wag means
excitement, while a low side-to-side was means "come no closer." A
shivering wag with the tail tucked under the hind legs indicates fear or
submission.
German shepherds are more prone to
nearsightedness than other breeds; American cocker spaniels are more prone to
glaucoma. Most dog vision problems are the result of too much inbreeding.
More facts about dogs
Dogs have only two kinds of color
sensing cells, or cones in their eyes. The cones sense hues of yellow and
blue the best. Dogs can detect red and green but, like a person with
red-green color blindness, can't distinguish between them.
