Facts about Dogs 7
Chihuahuas are clannish, preferring
their own kind. As a rule, they do not like dogs of other breeds.
Short snouted dogs were popular as
pets in the 19th century, and breeders accentuated this trait. The result
was several breeds of dogs, such as pugs and Pekinese, with extremely short
snouts - so short, in fact, that their abbreviated windpipes can lead to
breathing difficulties.
