Facts about Dogs 6
Recent experiments show that dogs
can perform a certain degree of quantitative analysis. When a dog was fed
10 small treats repeatedly, and then only seven treats, the dog waited for the
remaining three treats before turning away.
Most of the dog breeds we know today
began in the 19th century. Breeders carefully selected mating pairs so
that the litters would have particular traits thought desirable by dog owners.
