In Europe, the greyhound breed was first used by 9th century aristocrats to hunt such small games as hares.  Several hundred years later, the greyhound was featured prominently in such famous Renaissance tapestries as "The Hunt of the Unicorn."

Each day in the United State, animal shelters destroy 30,000 dogs and cats.
