Did you know that... studies that were conducted at The University of Michigan proved that cats have a much better short-term memory than dogs.  In fact, the tests demonstrated that dog's memories last no longer than 20 minutes while a cat's memory can last as long as 16 hours.  That is even longer than primates like monkeys and orangutans.

Another Cat Fact?

Healthy cats spend 15 percent of their lives in a deep sleep.  They spend as much as 50 percent of their lives in light sleep.

Cats lack the taste buds that can detect sweets, but they do seem to like them anyway.  Why?  The may possibly detect the salty and sour undertones in the flavor.
