Experiments have shown that cats have some sensitivity to colors - mostly in the blue and yellow spectrum.  This type of color vision is called "bichromatic" and is similar to the color vision of dogs.  Humans, on the other hand, have trichromatic vision, allowing us to see all the visible colors and shades of the spectrum.
